Twenty four oceans, Twenty four skies, Twenty four failures, Twenty four tries,
Twenty four finds me In twenty-fourth place, Twenty four drop outs, At the end of the day
Life is not what I thought it was
Twenty four hours ago
Still I’m singing Spirit take me up in arms with You
And I’m not who I thought I was twenty four hours ago
Twenty four reasons to admit that I’m wrong, With all my excuses still twenty four strong
See I’m not copping out….not copping out……not copping out…When You’re raising the dead in me…Oh, oh I am the second 1
And You’re raising these twenty four voices
With twenty four hearts, With all of my symphonies, In twenty four parts
But I want to be one today Centered and true
I want to see miracles, see the world change
Wrestled the angel, for more than a name
For more than a feeling. For more than a cause
I’m singing Spirit take me up in arms with You
And You’re raising the dead in me
Twenty four voices
With twenty four hearts
With all of my symphonies
In twenty four parts.
.
I’m not copping out.
I am excited and grateful for another year!
I have changed more in the last year than any other time I can recognize in my entire life, and I’m having a bit trouble letting go that 25 will be just as good as 23 and 24 were. It’s exciting to head into this period with all I’ve gathered thus far. This post is more for myself than any blog stalker ( j.k. thats me).
I hope 25 can began an even greater quest for truth, light, knowledge and happiness to be exactly where I am.
“Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.” –Larry Lorenzoni
But I need your help because I am not really sure how old I am spiritually…?…
Disclaimer: I didn’t write that cool song, Switchfoot did, the lead singer thought about his 24th birthday and what that meant, these lyrics bounced around my mind between scriptures and thoughts on the mission.
second Disclaimer: I took the pictures, they may not relate..don’t hate

I went boating and celebrated my pioneer heritage by doing something I’ve never done.in other words POINEERING. My sister Hollie and I grabbed a “laying out” type of water bed blow up device and had my dad pull us in the boat without , childish and unforgettable!

I love your blog it’s different than anything out there and it makes me wish I was as creative as you..even though that poem/song isn’t from you YOU thought of using it and that’s fabulous!! Happy Birthday! btw- i’ve been 25 for the last 9 or so months and it’s turned into a grown up #. Also, you’re closer to 30 and to me..well, 30 is a # where you can really say you have lived..we all still have some living to do..just my thoughts.

Jenny,
Happy Late Birthday! I hope it was just awesome. I went to the parade and then worked the rest of the day so I didn’t get to give you a shout out, but I was thinking of you all day. You are such a neat person. Love You.
