Thank you for your interest in this project. But, more importantly thanking for playing a saving role in others lives and raising a family all at the same time. As you prepare for your shoot, keep in mind the following.
I WANT TO DOCUMENT THE RELATIONSHIP YOU HAVE WITH YOUR CHILDREN
In order to do so, here are a couple things to keep in mind.
1. Avoid screen prints or loud graphics and loud colors.
Because I want to focus on you and your kids, often times crazy colors or loud shirts are distracting. It’s the first thing people look at. Focus on complementary colors that work well together.
Prepare for this portrait session as if it were traditional and something that cannot be aged by trends or loud colors.
I specialize in creating work that will last 100 years so I want you to have something that is timeless.
2. There is no shame in bribing your children.
Bring snacks that won’t stain your children’s clothing and bring baby wipes if needed.
These are here to help, but you may not need them.
Have an incentive for your kids for being good listeners for Jenny (me).
A treat after you leave the studio.
I am a mom to three boys, two under two, there isn’t a lot that I haven’t seen so don’t be stressed.
My job to make you comfortable, but your job is to help your children be good listeners for 15-20 MAX, I’ll take care of the rest.
(disclaimer, sometimes kids don’t listen to anyone).
Interacting with your children as normal along with an extra snuggle will provide some great images. Of course, I will guide you and even prompt a silly face or two, but really,
this is mommy me time. Portraits should be enjoyable and I make them enjoyable, so I hope you enjoy them.
3. Be Yourself
These portraits will tell their own story, so relax and we will have fun.
