Summer has officially end in my book. The windshield has dew on it in the mornings. I wake up my 8 year old while its still dark. The Exodus of Summer has began. We had a great harvest of vegetables. We chose colorful produce to get our children excited about eating it. And guess what? It worked. We also allowed them to pick whatever they wanted whenever they wanted, within reason. This helped them learn patience as they tasted produce that wasn’t ripe. Other times, it was perfectly perfect. We had a good long summer vacation so we were able to let our neighbors reap our harvest as well, with in turn created some yummy gifts. They made us Salsa and I must apologize for not documenting that. I promise next season I will.
My husband has a great green thumb, so it’s my job to document his hard work. I also wanted our children to remember this time in our lives, you know, tending a 1K sq ft garden.
We picked out Hybrid Artisan Tomatoes that UC Berkeley developed.
What unique seeds do you plant in your garden?
If its something really great, reach out to me! I’d love to hear more about it.
